Advanced Qualifications
We offer a Level 3 qualification in gym instruction (Advanced Gym Instruction) and a personal training course. Both of these can be undertaken online or as blended learning.
In addition to the advanced fitness knowledge, specific modules cover advanced resistance training and advanced cardiovascular training.

Advanced qualifications cover the following:
• Functional kinesiology
• Principles and practice of advanced fitness instructing: exercise prescription, periodisation, core conditioning and partner assisted flexibility
• Career management: developing career goals, recognising the requirements for different careers in the industry, use of continuing education, importance of self evaluation and the professional registration with REPs.
• Developing professional relationships
• Effective liaison with colleagues and other professionals
• Consultation skills
