Sports Massage Therapy
Sports massage therapy course is offered as a Level 3 award. The course is ideal for existing instructors who want to enhance their skills and services to clients.
Candidates will expand their knowledge of anatomy and physiology. In addition, further modules include: sports massage techniques, client assessment, soft tissue injury and repair and post care advice.

What will I learn?
The sports massage therapy course comprises of six mandatory units:
• Clinical issues in sports massage
• Further anatomy and physiology for sports massage
• Sports massage techniques
• Assessment of the client for sports massage
• Soft tissue injury and repair
• Post care advice following sports massage
Candidates must successfully achieve all six units for full certification.
How am I assessed?
You are continually assessed throughout the course using a combination of internally assessed practices and externally assessed theory papers.

Notes:
Students who wish to attend this sports massage course require qualifications in anatomy, physiology and exercise techniques equivalent to level 2.
